911 got a sickening call on February 3rd, and immediately sent a police unit over to the scene of a crime where sadly, a woman became a statistic and got viciously raped by a homeless man. They eventually managed to catch up with the offender, who kept referring to his victim as a “white b*tch.”
The victim claims she’s been tied up and raped near the Chattahoochee River, at the intersection of First Avenue and 17th Street, according to testimony. But the story only got worse when she discovered that perpetrator, 55-year-old Joseph Lee Sims has AIDS.
A homeless man committed a lewd, and heinous act against an unsuspecting woman.
Joseph Lee Sims, 55, interceded her victim near the Chattahoochee River and forcefully raped her.
911 dispatchers got a call, and quickly sent out police units to deal with the situation.
Police officer Christina Lombardo was called in to the Homeless Resource Network at 2221 Second Avenue in the morning of February 3 to investigate the allegations of a woman who claimed to be raped.
The victim pinpointed Sims as her attacker, saying he restrained and raped her earlier that day, at around 8 am.
In the midst of her stressful ordeal, the victim wasn’t able to pin point the exact location where this had happened, but she knew Sims was the one, and the surrounding areas where her painful ordeal took place.
